Baby massage lessons

2781Nine months in your womb a new life is being created… and born. When she’s born a world of new experiences like light, dark, noise, hunger, warmth, cold and loneliness… The baby needs warmth and love… it’s looking for contact but it can’t speak…

For both physical and emotional well-being, touch is vital to babies. In many countries, baby massage has always been an integral part of child-rearing. Oiling protects the skin, while stroking and stretching the body are commonly believed to help babies grow stronger. Research has shown that premature babies progress far more rapidly when regularly massaged.

2786The sequence I teach you is based on the traditional Indian art of massage. It will strengthen the bonding and communication between parent and child and help you to develop your own special way of touching, to calm or comfort your baby.

Mothers and fathers who practice the massage regularly have found that massage helps their baby to sleep and feed better, and relieves colic in the first few months. It’s a precious moment for the two of you…

Being touched and cherished, being massaged, is food for the infant.  Food as necessary as minerals, vitamins, and proteins.  Deprived of this food, the name of which is love, babies would rather die.  And they often do.”
